Canada Invited 43,840 Immigrants to PR
Canada remains on its assurance to welcome over 100,000 immigrants through Express Entry-managed plans. IRCC called 5,000 applicants to apply for Canadian permanent residency in the 9th Express Entry draw of 2021 held on 18 March. In this draw, IRCC considered Candidates from Canadian experience class with a minimum score of 449. According to Canadian Government statistics from March 8, almost 77% of Express Entry applicants in Canada are entitled to the CEC.
Counting this newest express entry draw, Canada has invited 43,840 total applicants from PNP and CEC streams to apply for permanent residency (Canada PR). The motion is showing that Canada is going on the right track for implementation of the goal of 108,500 aspirants through express entry this year.

- This is the first CEC draw since the massive CEC draw on February 13, which invited over 27,000 applicants with CEC.
- History was made in February-2021 when every single CEC aspirant was invited in a sole draw over 27,000 invitations total!
- The subsequent express entry draw is anticipated to follow on March 31, 2021.
How did applicants succeed in invitations to apply for PR?
The candidate is evaluated by the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). This is a point-based system. Those applicants who obtain the highest scores will receive an invitation to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
