Prince Edward Island PNP Draw Sent Out 153 Fresh Applications for Permanent Residency
Prince Edward Island PNP Draw which was held on the 20th of May, 2022, gave invites to 153 fresh applicants for Permanent Residency (PR) under dual categories. Prince Edward Island is the smallest province of Canada and invited maximum number of candidates in this draw so far. 137 from the total number of invitations, were given to Labour and Express Entry categories whereas 16 of them to the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur category. Minimum score for the Business invitations category plummeted by 5 points falling to 62 in comparison with the draw that took place in March 2022.
Previous PNP draw for the Prince Edward Island happened on February 17, 2022 which invited 123 candidates for Permanent Residency (PR). Â The largest PEI PNP draw until now was in October 2021 where 204 applications were invited for PR. In 2022, till date, a total of 537 candidates have been given invitations to by PEI PNP. The draws for Prince Edward Island PNP take place every month whose results are announced around 15th to 20th of that month.

In order for the candidates to be eligible for the Express Entry category, they must have a valid Expression of Interest (EOI) with the Prince Edward Island PEI PNP besides the Express Entry Profile in either of the three categories; Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Federal Skilled Trades (FST) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
Overview of PEI PNP Draw under the LABOUR IMPACT CATEGORY
The requirement to apply for the Labour Impact Category is to have a valid Expression of Interest (EOI) profile with the Prince Edward Island PEI PNP in any one of the streams; Skilled Worker, Critical Worker, or International Graduate. Additionally, it requires a valid employment offer along with a PEI employer’s assistance.
Overview of PEI PNP Draw under the BUSINESS IMPACT CATEGORY
This category is for foreign entrepreneurs who wish to initiate or develop their own business in the Prince Edward Island. In the current draw, the minimum threshold score under the Work Permit Stream was 67 points.
